4Days Samburu national reserve and Nanyuki

The Samburu National Reserve extend for an area of 105km2 north of the meandering Ewaso ngiro or “Brown” river.it is part of the lava plain that include a varied landscape of red dirt, thorn scrub, broken volcanic rock, dried river beds, steep hills and rocky outcroppings, some large enough to be called mesas, the region is home of the rare Grevy zebra with large furry ears, gerenuk antelope standing on hind legs to feed, Somali ostriches with their distinctive blue legs, and the shy oryx beisa. most of this can be seen near the tourist lodges and camps that have been built close to the river.
The journey continues to the most amazing place nanyuki, the town the foot of MT KENYA, the town just north of the Equator, it is a social and market center for the ranch lands of the Laikipia plateau and the lower slopes of mt Kenya, also the home of the extinct (NORTHERN WHITE RHINOS) at the Ol-pejeta conservancy.
